Camera and Microphone Access

SpyScope requires access to your device's camera and microphone to provide live streaming functionality. This access is:

• Only used when you actively start streaming
• Processed entirely on your device
• Never transmitted to external servers
• Streamed only over your local network to devices you choose

Local Storage

The app temporarily stores video segments on your device to enable HLS streaming. These files are:

• Stored in your device's local storage
• Automatically deleted when storage is low (250 MB safety threshold)
• Only accessible within your local network
• Never uploaded to cloud services

Network Information

The app accesses your local network to serve video streams via HTTP on port 8080. This is used exclusively for streaming video to devices on your local network.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Capture and encode video from your device's camera
• Stream video over your local network via HLS protocol
• Manage temporary storage of video segments
• Provide camera controls (switching, torch, etc.)

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties.

SpyScope operates entirely on your device and local network. There are:

• No cloud services
• No analytics or tracking services
• No third-party advertising networks
• No external data storage
• No user accounts or authentication systems

Data Security

Your video streams are transmitted over HTTP within your local network. We recommend:

• Using the app only on trusted, secure networks
• Ensuring your WiFi network is password-protected
• Being aware of who has access to your local network
• Stopping the stream when not in use

Since all data remains on your device and local network, you maintain complete control over your video footage.

Data Retention

Video segments are stored temporarily on your device for streaming purposes. The app automatically manages storage by:

• Deleting old segments when storage is low
• Maintaining a 250 MB safety threshold
• Clearing segments when you stop streaming

You can manually delete all stored files at any time through the app's file server interface.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All video segments are stored locally and accessible through the app
• Deletion: Delete individual files or all content at any time
• Control: Start and stop streaming at your discretion
• Permissions: Revoke camera/microphone access via iOS Settings at any time

Children's Privacy

SpyScope does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app does not require user accounts, and all data remains local to your device.
